AIO "Round Up" - Pioneer Avic S1 - SiRFIII and Bluetooth
1. Introduction
A few years ago, GPS receivers or AIOs (All in One Systems) were far and few in between so coming out with a working model meant that finding distribution wouldn't be a problem. Nowadays, with the multitude of GPS systems and designs (latest in line Pioneer AVIC-S1 and Airis T920P), coming up with a working model isn't enough, especially with the AIOs that require both compelling hardware and software. Sure enough, out of all the AIO designs we saw at CES in January, few have made it. Even well known brands like Alpine with the Blackbird seem to be having difficulty coming to market.
