I now have my own and we are looking at Windows CE 5.0 on this device... So if you dare because you could end up bricking your device copy "Explorer.exe" to OdysseyNav directory... Rename "Main.exe" to say "OdysseyNav.exe"... Then rename "Explorer.exe" to "main.exe"... When the device reboots without connection to the computer... You should have "My Shell" come up instead of "Odyssey" software.
Now I don't want to repeat this: Backup all Software and if you do not know how to fix the device do not attempt this yet!
I do not want to be responsible for anyone's errors and mistakes in judgement... So you are warned! You will be voiding your Waranty!
So it is hackable... But how far is anyone's guess... Is it worth it? That remains to be seen.
There are two hidden files in the root directory "autorun.inf" and another visual basic file I think... They are what is thought to be a virus by some virus checkers... They are probably the key to the whole harddrive senario.
I'll let you know what I find.

Hi there....just wondering how to find or get this explorer.exe....i assume it is WIN CE Ver 5.0....

I had a pretty difficult problem with my 3507 today.
The touch screen functionality just completely died off when I needed it... Went on to reset the machine couple of times before giving up. No changes.
However, when I got home and tested it, the touch screen functionality was fine. Does anyone else have this problem or have a solution to it?
In addition, I get this message to update many times. Any way around this as I understand that there is no online support? |

| it is a real crap! When u start it up, it takes 15 min to catch the signal. Then it is loosing the signal in downtown (especially at crossroads), under bridges and when u want to use mp3 function. Touchscreen sometimes dead and u need to turn it off and wait until it cools down. I will buy another one.. |

Can amyone help me with my Navi Navi model #3507
the GPS was working fine until it instructed me to upload the new updated maps
i plugged it into my computer and now it reads "NO DEVICE" i can't get the gps to read statilite signal ... how do i reprogram it ...?????

hi!
I have a navi-navi 3507, when i open it i got a exclamation point, when i clic on it i got a blank screen et when i plug it to a computer, it shows a small window: title is ‘myshell.exe’, ‘ok’ button works ‘X’ close button not active. Contents: ‘/Hard Disk/Odyssey Nav/main.exe’ After click ‘ok’ it stuck in the welcome screen.
Where i can see if all files or folders it's there. I meen someboy did something in... |
