After we exchanged emails about GPS compatibility on Smartphones pc-mobile were kind enough to ship me some test samples of their PXSM and GEXDAP cable for XDA and described here. Both the E1/E100/E200 (aka QTEK 7070, QTEK8080, i-mate 2) smartphones and the XDA's (QTEK 1010/2020) are made by HTC in Taiwan and the cables designed for the XDA appear to be compatible, although there was some doubt as to some pin ordering for power input.
After testing both the PXSM and GEXDAP, I'm happy to report that they both let me connect to my Garmin eTrex set to NMEA/4,800, using the Mapopolis Smarpthone Beta on COM1. When connected to the standard "iPAQ jack" 3.5mm power input, the GEXDAP cable also powered the E200 but this is not required for the GPS connection to work of course. The PXSM connects to the standard eTrex serial cable
Once again, pc-mobile show they're on the top of all things "cable" ! If you have any questions, feel free!

Hi, this is a pretty interesting subject to me; I have an E-trex Vista and I would like to buy an XDA III (Q-tek 9090), and use them with the Tom Tom navigator software. Any advice on that? For example which cable?
ciao
