Hi! every one, I have an Ipaq hw-6515 with Mapopolis installed on it. Everything works great except when I receive a phone call. Mapopolis is then shut down and when my phone call is ended, I have to restart Mapopolis and go thru the whole process of entering all details again. This is not really a good thing when you are driving. Does someone have a hint on keeping Mapopolis running when a phone call comes in?

Thank you!

I don't know about keeping it running (I use a PDA myself). But you can at least save the route. This way you would have to restart mapapolis (could be one of your buttons), select "Navigate", "File", "Recall route", and click the "OK" soft button. (The most recently saved route is at the top of the list, so it is auto-selected.)

Even with this, I would definately recommend pulling over.

Or you could just buy a new Honda or Acura with the built in Nav system. Very, very nice nav for just $30K more or less. :)

Hi, Bussie,

Try going to Start -> Settings -> System -> Memory and looking at your Running Programs. I think you might have more stuff running on your device than you think you do. Your iPAQ has a multitasking operating system, so you should be able to take a call with Mapopolis running in the background.

Remember that tapping the X in a PPC program doesn't CLOSE the program like it does in Windows on your PC. Instead, it pushes the program to the background, rather like minimizing a program on your PC. Windows Mobile/PPC OS will only allow so many programs to run in the background. If it gets too many, it tells some programs to shut down without consulting you.

Also, an occasional soft reset can work wonders. :-)
