This is my first time here. Maybe this is my first post.
I have been face with problem about using Columbus V-990. I got this last week and already have red all of manual. Device almost work well except writing log file into MicroSD. I try to connect usb to this with my computer and found that it can receive gps signal correctly but error to write log. (I insert 2GB microSD formated with FAT16 already but still blinking pen signal and beeping - it's mean writing error)
Anybody have met this situation? Can I do next for correct it?

PS. Or I should replace this with Qstarz 1000xt? because I already mailed to Columbus's support for 3 days ago but hv not received anything yet. Very very crap support.
I have previous version of this device: v900 It's ok when device beeps when inserting or extracting microSD card. When pen flashes - it's ok too - it means that log is being written. USB is used only for charging. Try to inspect microSD card with external card reader. To convert CSV to GPX use free GPSBABEL. Good luck!
